It was raining and I was dragging myslf back from school. Fathr had not got back hom yt and I thought h must hav forgottn it was my 18th birthday today. If my mothr had not did yarsago sh would hav prpard lots Of good dishs for my suppr, but now I had to cook a vry simpl mal, waiting for my fathr＇s rturn.

Hours passd.Still my fathr did not appar.This mad m vry sad.I couldn＇t hlp saying to myslf, "Mum, Mum ..." with tars in my ys. I flt cold and lonly, listning to th wind blowing outsid and th drops of rain tapping on th windowpan.

It was about ight o＇clock whn suddnly thr cam a gntl knock. Hardly had I answrd th door whn fathr cam in. H was wt all ovr with a bouqut of flowrs in his hands.

"Happy birthday, my child," said h, and prtnding to b chrful, put th bouqut of flowrs into my hands, "I had bn toyour mothr＇s gravthia aftrnoon.On th way hom I wnt to many shops to gt this as a birthday prsnt. I hop yon＇ll lik it, my dar."

With tars in my ys, I hld th flowrs tightly to my chst, saying in a trmbling voic, "Thank you, Fathr.Your lov is th bst gift for m. "(220words )

父亲的爱

天下着雨，我吃力地从学校到家。爸爸还没有回来，但我想他一定忘了今天是我的18岁生日。如果妈妈现在还活着，她一定会在晚饭中做很多好菜，但现在我只能做简单的饭菜等爸爸回来。

几个小时过去了，爸爸还没有出现，这使我很伤心。我禁不住自言自语，“妈妈，妈妈……”眼里充满泪水。听见外面的风声和雨打玻璃的声音，我不禁感到寒冷和孤单。

大约8点钟，突然传来轻轻的敲门声。我刚打开门，爸爸就进来了，他全身湿透了，手里还拿着一束花。

“孩子，生日快乐，”他说着，强作笑颜把花送到我手中。“今天下午我去你妈妈的墓地了。回家的路上跑了很多商店才买到这件生日礼物。亲爱的，我希望你能喜欢。”

我把花紧紧放在胸前，不禁热泪盈眶。用颤抖的声音说：“谢谢爸爸，您的爱才是给我的最好的礼物。”
